KFM in partnership with the Dis-Chem Foundation announced a donation of R120 000 to Magdas Soup Kitchen, an organisation that uplifts, feeds and clothes disadvantaged people in the Paarl district.

August is Woman’s Month, and we’ve been celebrating and chatting to women doing amazing things and making a difference in their communities across the Western Cape, one such woman is Magda Meyer.

Her organisation, Magdas Soup Kitchen, has been running for about 21 yearsand works to improve the lives of disadvantaged people in the Paarl district.

A few weeks ago the KFM ladies went to visit Magda, she not only feeds more than 2 000 peopleevery week at different drop off points, but also provides support, advice and hope to those who are destitute.

Ryan ‘O Connor surprised Magda on the show this morning with news of the donation.

The Foundation’s Penny Stein says:  “Magdas soup kitchen are doing marvellous  work in feeding the community and as its women’s month we honour the work she does, And our contribution of toiletries will ensure that women in the community’s hygiene is taken care of.”

Magda was overwhelmed with emotion and thanked both KFM and Dis-Chem.

Thank you to our friends from the Dis-Chem Foundation for once again helping us fulfil a Random Act of Kindness.
